Chris Rock bombed, the Oscars sucked

"Why wasn't Chris in the audience more?" was the only question I could logically ask myself after watching the Oscars. "If John Stewart was the host instead of Chris Rock, he would have been the audience the whole time and wouldn't have even gone on stage at all." I said that too. Another thing about Chris Rock: he wasn't funny! What would have been funny is if he had smoked a bunch of pot before he hosted the Oscars and his eyes were all red! Now that would be funny but I guess also pretty unrealistic.
I guess instead of a funny Chris Rock in the audience we get these crazy assholes presenting awards in the audience! What the fuck? I admit I don't watch the Oscars much but that just seems gay even if they've always done that. All of the little transitional diaglogues by stupid celebrities were stupid and forced.Everything about the show was stupid. It was just like cheesy and stupid and pointless, fuck that. Some of the crazy shit they did was obviously to save time and shit...but I ask you, Oscar: Oscar, has this crazy showboat realy sunk that low? Apparently it has.
Also what's up with that Bud Light commercial with the cockateil who is Al Pacino in Scarface what the fuck? Fuck that. I saw this during the Superbowl too and I can tell you this advertisement is ridiculously ineffective and retarded if you ask me.
Well after that commercial the got back to the Oscars at some point and I noticed that everytime they have a camera on somebody in the audience it's always really close up and awkward. I think that they could lighten it up a little by doing something stupid like, I don't know, putting zooming cameras on watermellon-lookin miniature blimps like Gallagher had and sending them out into the audience to show the nominees! That would be sick. You'd probably be worried like that ha one of the blimps would crash into the audience but don't worry about that! Think about it, if that actually happened, which it never would, they could just cut the blimps engines and let the actors and actresses toss whatever's left of the blimp around like a beach ball! I don't know actually that sounds kind of dangerous, but ignoring that jesus anything's better than the current desperately uneventful award process. How am I supposed to take this shit seriously when it's all so stupid? You know what I've never seen during the Oscars? People flyin around on cables over the audience. I don't know how they'd pull it off but I guarantee you it could be done! Hey, Oscar: instead of having a stupid boring TV show why don't you make it awesome instead? Fuck you.

50 niggas deep

Hey! Well, as you may have noticed, there's been a revolution in the works here in Booztown...a G-Unit revolution, that is. Folks, I'm fucking kidding, fucking chill out. But really, you've probably been asking yourself, "What's the deal with all of this G-Unit madness? Why has Gary Zon AKA Randy B. AKA Clyde Drexler taken it upon himself to post so many useless bastardizations of the cover for G-Unit's debut album, entitled 'Beg for Mercy'...and why am I strangely aroused by all of this?" If only I was around to hear these queries, I would probably reply, "Aren't they awesome? I don't know why I do this...I did not choose the G-Unit, the G-Unit chose me. Also, I don't understand why you are aroused by my expressions of crazy blackness, but odds are you're a pervert." Well, pervs, lean in close to your computer monitors because you're about to be taken on a whirlwind tour of the crazy shit G-Unit pictures which have blessed the internet over the past week. I'd just like to say that I realize one's first instinct might be to classify many of these pictures as psychedelia. That is to say, materials characterized as being inspired by or in imitation of the psychedelic state. Well bah, fuck you. That's not what this is, so don't put labels on me or my wack shit work, because I will break free of those labels and shoot you 9 times. The purpose of this entry is to run through all of the sweet-o pictures I've made from the cover of "Beg for Mercy." If you want to see a full-sized version of the images I discuss, just click on 50 Cent's head and that picture will open up in a new window. Enjoy, and remember: don't hate, don't judge, and don't be scurred.

This is pretty much your standard Booztown picture. My basic process for getting a picture like this starts with taking a photograph, smashing it down, then un-smashing it to make it look blocky and pixelated. You can interpret my apparent attraction to this blockiness however you want, as long as your interpretation makes me seem smart and cool. After I get the a picture all blocky, I then export it, reducing the number of colors shown and replacing those colors with prettier colors. The only really notable part of this pic is the separate layer partially covering the faces of the G-Unit jerks. Lloyd Banks looks sad, 50 looks pissed, and Young Buck looks like he was hit by a flying boat. This picture was made before I decided to totally craze out on the cover of G-Unit's "Beg for Mercy."

This is when I decided to totally craze out on the cover of G-Unit's "Beg for Mercy." After creating this second image, I said to myself, out loud, "Gee, how far can I take this?" In case you were wondering, the answer is "Pretty far!" The only real artistic touch in this pic is that I overlapped two similarly colorful distortions of the album over, creating patches of poopy brown color that notably coincide with the purple areas in the previous picture. I could have made this a wholly rainbow-y image, but I think those ugly shit spots give it some character. I like the way 50's eyebrows look.

Nothing too crazy here, I was just sorta warming up for a string of G-Unit madness. This picture is different from the first two in that it's not a distortion of the album cover, but rather of the base picture itself (without the group name, album name, or parental advisory warning). I like the yellow overlay on the Tony Yayo "mural." I like the way the burgundy coloring on the left side contrasts with the purplish pieces on the right. I like the pink, green, and purple colors show through the shit on the G-Unit jerseys. The pink parts are from a picture of a watermelon.

Whoa, now! Let a nigga flow, now. j/kj/k/ jk/j!! Arguably the most distorted picture in the bunch, I think that this one is pretty damn sexy. Come to think of it, this kind of reminds me of the end of that Lloyd Banks video where they are all dancing around and being a warrior. Although it wasn't my original intention, I enjoy the fact that it kind of looks like 50 and the gang are being chased down with flashlights by extremely nearsighted senior patrol volunteers. Also, it kind of looks like there's a skull in the middle; that's hardcore.

Free Yayo! Not too much to explain about this pic...filtered out some stuff, made it green, put it back over the shit, blurred it, sharpened it, and there ya go, that's why 50 and his crew look so spooky and intimidating. I like the crazy background a lot, especially the little green and purple bits. Green and purple, in my opinion, are the two colors which offer each other the best contrast. Don't ask me why! I like the brick wall on the left side. I think that 50 cent looks rather noble in this picture, like a Zulu chieftain, or perhaps Ernie Hudson. Or Seal.

Oh, 50, is there anything you can't do? Besides, rap, that is. Hey, folks, I'm just kidding, chill the fuck out. Well, this pic is pretty much your standard "Beg for Mercy" fare. It's just a nice mix of colors that might provoke some sort of emotional response in an individual. Could that individual be YOU? This is the only image in the "series" that uses transparent pixels, letting the Booztown background leak through and giving 50 Cent the distinct appearance of a burn victim. Or of Seal. I like the way the graffiti in the bottom-left area of the picture looks.

I don't know why, but I think the colors in this picture are about as perfect as I could want them to be. The background in the top area is really beautiful, and I think that little bit is what makes this piece relatively evocative. It makes me want to eat a Cadbury Cream Egg or something. The most unique part of this picture is probably the fact that the front area is a color-shifted negative image. A cheap trick, to be certain, but I was bound to incorporate it in one of these images and I think it was well-utilized.

Oh shit! I hope 50 Cent doesn't see this picture cause if he does, I'm gonna have to explain why I turned him into Xzibit! Well, this one was one admittedly created while I somewhat drunk. It's a good demonstration of my ability to go "Ahhh, fuck it...watch this." As you can probably tell, I just did a sassy little free-form drawing in Paint and then put a single layer of G-Unit jerk shit on top. What you probably wouldn't realize is that this actually the same layer that created 50's McDonald's face way back in the first image. Crazy? Yes. But true? Yes. The best part of the wacky background is the initials "J.D." written at the bottom. J.D. stands for "Jermaine Dupri," and I don't care who you are, that's funny.

Oh, nice! When I made this picture it was immediately my favorite distortion of the Beg for Mercy album cover up to that point. Despite being one the more poignantly colorful creations in the bunch, I think it easily has the most brooding tone. The background seems to me to be somewhat apocalyptic, and the overall coloring is just a shade darker than I would usually make it. In addition, the crazy blue-ish faces on the G-Unit make them look ghostly, almost like drowning victims. This wacky face thing was actually the last thing I put into the image, and I'm extremely glad I did. In case you were wondering what the image would look like without the layer that created that effect, which if true would dramatically lower my opinion of you, here ya go.

Welp, I knew I had to include a wacky grayscale image in this shit sometime, and and that time apparently came (no pun intended) early in the morning of Friday, February 18th 2005. Creating this picture was pretty much just a process of using the same basic manipulations I usually do, only occasionally stomping everything into "black and white". The best part of this picture is how I replaced the album title in the corner; for some reason I find this a lot funnier than I should. I guess I just have a weird sense of humor! Just kidding...I hate it when people say that. No, really, I really don't hate that, but I do hate it when people talk about how much they "hate" the annoying things that other people do. Or do I? If you're confused right now then you're probably a moron.

""Rawr! I'm gonna getcha!" That's what 50 Cent would say if this picture came alive like in Ghostbusters II. I actually don't think this picture is all that spooky, but it's weird, whenever I run up to kids on the street and show them a printout of this picture and say "Rawr! I'm gonna getcha!" they almost always start crying! Actually, 50 looks extremely indifferent in this picture, while Lloyd Banks' semi-permanent scowl is scowlier than ever! Please, Lloyd Banks, don't hurt 'em! And by "em" I mean "me." Notable: Tony Yayo is in full effect, jumpin' all out atcha and all up in ya like any half-decent combination of Scarface references should.

This one is way cool...man. 50 and his posse of hardcore thug jerks find themselves out of their comfort zone as they abandon that fucking ghetto street or whatever the hell it is and strike a tough pose in front of a fantastical cityscape. The background is actually a combination of about 5 different skylines, including New York, Chicago, Sydney, Singapore, and Houston. I think it looks pretty cool. I especially like how crunchy the G-Unit looks, a result of my running them through a sharpen filter a couple of times.

Oh. Yeah. I don't know about you, but this last one is my favorite crazy picture of the bunch. It took be about two hours to whip up, and is obviously the most complex and varied interpretation of the album cover. I started this picture by creating the gang's faces and working outward from there. Lloyd Banks looks funny, kind of like a robot. 50 Cent looks like he is winking. Young Buck looks like he is baring his teeth slightly and trying to appear intimidating. There's really not too much I can say about this one, but my favorite parts of the image are the pink/yellow/green/black spotty thing next to Young Buck and the wavy rainbow lines all over the middle. 50 Cent's left arm looks pretty sweet, also.

Well there you have it! That's about the last of that shit. I hope you enjoyed my little tour through some of the ways I can take a picture and make it look pretty neat. I bet if 50 Cent had known I was going to do this when the picture for the G-Unit album cover was taken, then he probably would have told La-Lloydy and Bucko to think their poses through a little more carefully. That's not to say that any of them look awkward or out of place, but hey, you just never know when somebody's going to pound out a dozen or so freaky color spaz-outs of your picture. I think I'm going to take a short break from posting entries 'round here in Booztown, but in a week or so I'll be back with more crazy things that make you laugh but also make you go hmmmmmmmmmm...unless I get hit by a big truck and die, in which case, wouldn't this be spooky?

Well today I got back from Ashland, I took a pretty spur of the moment trip to Ashland with my pal Dave. We were visiting Chris Bell and Corey Chavez who live in a crazy nice aparment attached to this big crazy place called the Hidden Springs Wellness center. On Wednesday we hiked a long ways up to this cool place near Lithia Park. It was a hard climb but the mountainous forest area made for some cool views from up above. I didn't get to meet as many hippies as I would have liked but I met a few and they were all pretty wacky! This one gal named Sapphire was apparently pretty high up on the hippie chain of comand and she talked a bunch about how her crew does firedancing and shit. She even had some crazy firedancing bolos that with which she did some cool tricks. Also she was bisexual and kept dropping references to weird sexy shit. And she said she'd had two suicide attempts in the past year! And she was pretty hot, but her teeth were slightly messed up. She had one huge dreadlock on the back of her head from the bottom hairline that was huge and crazy and I touched it and it was really hard! It looked kind of like a big turd made of hair. I don't know, I'm still on the fence about crazy hippies because some of them are pretty cool but also most of them are highly nuts and I really can't relate to them at all! And even though you'd think hippies would smoek a lot of pot, I've still never seen a hippie smoke a shitload of weed. Also, none of the hippies I met had really all that great of weed. They get it for cheap but it seems to be very relatively midsy. I mean, I know really good pot when I see it and I didn't see any really good pot in Ashland! Oh well, that wasn't why I was there! It was nice to spend some more time in Ashland since it's a very unique town and I still haven't seen very much of it.
On the way down and back from Ashland I listened to a lot of crazy gangsta rap, which was wacky. When you listen to a bunch of gangsta rap songs in a row, the bullshit starts to pile up so fast that you need a Segway scooter just to stay balanced. I made the sassy comment that if black people really killed each other as much as they say, there wouldn't be many black people left. Ba-zing! Take that, gangster rappers. We also listened to my RZA mix which is basically just a bunch of wu-Tang shit. I was thinking about how the Wu-Tang name has been turned into a brand, but kind of a half-assed brand for sure. On the other hand, at least they're still miles beyond the Hypnotize Minds crew! Hoo-boy!
Well, Valentines Day is just around the corner. Who's your valentine? I wrote Pope John Paul II asking him to be my valentine, but hasn't written back yet! Arrrgh! Urrrrgh! Ooooof! I hope I can find somebody to be my valentine because I've been looking for an excuse to buy a genuine Vermont Teddy Bear Company teddy bear. I hear women just love those things.
While I was in Ashland I listened to an album called "Snowflakes Are Dancing" by Aiso Tomita (based on the music of Claude Debussy). It was supposedly the first album using only synthesized instruments. It's pretty coooool and you've probably already heard parts of it at some point in your life. You might have listened to the song "Too Late" by Talib Kweli, a pretty unique track. Wellll that cool spooky sound at the beginning is actually a sample from the song "Reverie" on this album! Sooooo maybe you should get on the internet and check this album out!
Oooh another cool thing I did in Ashland was play Nintendo 64 on a super huge screen! The Hidden Springs Wellness Center has a large circular room that is actually a converted yurt, and it has a projector! As you probably guessed, we used that projector to play Nintendo 64 like the Big Tymers would have: bigly. We played Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye and it was pretty sweet! Oh yeah, we also used it to watch the Akira Kurosawa film Dreams. It was the second time I'd seen this film, so I wasn't surprised when the monster jumped through the window.
Well that's about it for now, I spose. I'd just like to mention that I realize my little comment posting thing on the sidebar is making pop-up ads appear, which just isn't fair for all my loyal readers. I'm going to replace it with one that won't be all crazy soon, so watch out! Okay, gotta go, buy!

Everybody Spurts

gimme yo gun
A long time ago I looked into somebody's eyes and instantly fell hopelessly in love forever. I started to weep, because I knew that no matter how much my mind twisted itself around the concept of loving them, we could never be together in this world. It seems to me that the gap between two conscious beings is infinite, never to be spanned by any spark of the imagination. I could be wrong.
I recently started reading a book that to some extent incorporates elements in the style of magical realism. I like magical realism because it uses the written medium to bend our conceptions of possibility. Technichally, anything is possible. The quantum model of the universe tells us that the only obstacle to that which is "impossible" is probability. That which bends probability is energy. Technically, if somebody's mind could harvest and control incredibly massive amounts of energy, they could make insane things happen, such as making a feast appear out of nowhere or having Tammy's beautiful scalp reappear on her head, hair and all. Unfortunately, despite the incredible complexity of the human mind, it has no apparent capacity to create significant amounts of energy. Though it may seem to some that the human body and mind are permeated by all sorts of mysterious waves/vibrations/auras, this is almost certainly an illusion created by our ability to manufacture perceptons of that which does not physically exist. Even if the human mind could harness the unthinkably large amounts of energy needed to bend the laws of physics, it apparently has no capacity to control or focus that energy. It's a lump of flesh sitting inside of some bones. Furthermore, if the brain somehow could overcome these obstacles and control fantastic amounts of energy, directing them to influence massive leaps of probability in individual pieces of matter, this would seem to require imcomprehensible amounts of precision and neural organization; a perfect mind, so to speak. Given the inherent sloppiness of the human thought process, it seems highly unlikely that any living person could ever have the ability to affect the physical world through concerted thought. Then again, anything's possible.

Don't worry, it's not loaded.

Oh no, The Patriots won the Superbowl! I am so pissed off right now, I can't even describe it. Oh well, at least there were some great commercials! J/k they sucked! Did you see the one for the new Mustang Corvette? They showed it twice. It was made quite clear that the car is coming out in Spring, that was the whole point of the commercial with the dead frozen guy. Immediately after the first time they showed the commercial, they had a little lead-in back to the game that said "The new Mustang convertable: it's coming sooner than you think," to which I replied, "I think it's coming in spring..." I'm sassy like that. Considering that there's always so much retarded hype about the commercials, it was a little surprising that they all sucked and weren't funny. Except for the one with the cat spilling the soup, how cute was that?
I was listening to the groovy background music to this page, when I thought to myself, "I'm glad that Mariah Carey released the song 'Honey' because otherwise I wouldn't have known that she loves cum." If you get a blowjob from Mariah, make sure to blow it all over her face. Get some in her eye.

I've lost a lot lately, I guess. Just a few minutes ago I lost a cool entry that I was gonna post, it was pretty hot. In this entry I was kind of a cocky bastard. I had some interesting things to say about women; I always do. I think I'm about to fall in love again...let's hope it lasts!
Today I was reading an article on AOL about Shaq. Shaq wants to get a masters degree in criminal justice through the University of Phoenix, an online college. Shaq was quoted as saying, "I want to go to the Police Academy. I want to actually go out and make a couple of arrests and I want to go undercover." Shaq, you are one funny motherfucker.
I am planning to post an entry with a bunch of interesting internet hotlinks. Until then, check out this site. It's a photographer's site. Stylisticly, the photographs are unremarkable, but their content is pretty awesome.
I'm actually pretty sad right now...I feel nicely abandoned. And yet I've never been more ready to throw myself into love. Please don't hurt me!
Maaaaan, I don't know.....I don't really have much else to say for now, but oh fuck I can't think of a good way to end this entry. Uhhhh here's a picture of Pimp Seinfeld:

The Reality Show Gang-Bang (Formerly the Reality Show Round-Up)

What's up my loyal fan base?!? How's he/she/it hangin'? Well I'm sorry I haven't posted any new entires in a few days, but I have a good excuse...I've been moving into my new place! Well, I actually finished moving in a few days ago, but it took a while to get my phone line up and running. Yes folks, my i-net is working just fine now, but I'm on dial-up so don't try to send me any large files!
Well, anyways okay folks I'd like to take a moment to talk about reality TV. I don't know if any of you know this, but reality TV shows now account for 95% percent of the programming on the major networks...just kidding! It's not really 95%, that's just a little joke I like to tell to make people crack up! The point is that there are a lot of great reality TV shows on TV, and I watch them all.
My favorite reality show is The Bachelorette. On this show, a bunch of hunky dudes compete for the attentions of Jen Schefft, the most beautiful woman in America. If you've ever watched "The Bachelor", it's kind of like that but this time it's a woman who is being courted by a bunch of potential lovers. I think the season finale of this is coming up this week, because everybody I know has been really stressed out, probably because they are so anxious to know who Jen picks to marry forever! I was watching an earlier episode from this season of "The Bachelorette" and I made the genius observation that this whole thing would be a lot easier if she just fucked all of the guys at once. I think that Jen would get a kick out of that! But seriously folks, I am kind of worried about Jen because what if her soulmate has a small cock?!? She still has to get married to him at the end of the show anyway so she had better watch out! My advice to Jen would be to grab all of the guys' boners through their pants before she picks one, that way she can get a good impression of how hot his cock is beforehand! It just makes sense, folks.
My second favorite reality show is The Starting Over House. Okay, just kidding, it's actually called "Starting Over" but it should be called "The Starting Over House" because it's about a house where women go to start over. If you know any women, then you realize that most of them have a lot of starting over to do ha! There's this chick on the starting over house who has bad amnesia or something so she doesn't remember much and so when she watches herself on the starting over house like 4 months later she is probably like "Oh who's that handsome woman on the TV screen? Oh wait, it's me! Wahahahah!"
The Amazing Race. What can I say about this show that hasn't already been said by the title itself? For those who haven't seen this program, it's essentially about an amazing race around the world! Contestants have to do stuff like bungee jump off of the Eifel Tower and then hoof it over to the Arc de Triomphe to get their next clue. Amazing, huh? Well, earlier when I was talking about Jen Schefft, that got me thinking...this is what I thought: Speaking of people named Jen, my friend's fat sister and her fat friend Jen really like watching the Amazing Race. This wouldn't have been worth mentioning if they weren't so super fat! Basically, I think the ultimate irony of this is that these obese women really enjoyed a show which centers around kind of being in a hurry to go places, while they themselves were very fat and probably ate a bunch and didn't excercize! Maybe if these crazy fat women would have spent more time running around sort of fast and less time watching TV then maybe they wouldn't be so fat!
This isn't a reality show really but the other night I watched some crazy teen best friends win a $100,000 bonus prize on Wheel of Fortune! Now that's what I call "big money!"
Okay well I guess that's all I have to say for now, but before I go, here's a final thought: Tonight somebody asked me for gum. I looked through my backpack but I couldn't find any! If I had, though, I could have made a new friend. It turns out somebody else had gum so everything turned out all right, but if I had invested like 25 cents in a pack of gum I might have given off a slightly better impression! So the next time you are in a store staring at a pack of gum, BUY IT!
