Down like a clown, Charlie B-b-b

Hey dudes what's up!? Has anybody heard the wacky KDUK rap anthem? It's preeeeeeeetty funny!
I am excited about Team America: World Police! I know it's already out but I haven't seen it and probably won't for a while so I think my excitement is justified. From the moment I heard the title I was cracking up and I haven't stopped ever since! I saw a preview/making-of thing on MTV and the clip of the puppet dude throwing up was reallly funny! Early impressions of this movie from people are really good, apparently it's a laugh attack and a half.
Hmmmm recently I completed a game I've had for like 4 years called Banjo-Tooie! I originally had to put the game down because it was just too big, but after maybe another 10 hours of playtime I'd beaten the final boss. This game is pretty fun, but it doesn't have quite the same magic touch of the orginal, Banjo-Kazooie. I played that game to hell and did everything and it was a great time. I've heard somebody observe that after a while video games just stop being as fun as they were when you were younger, they just kind of don't stimulate you as much after a while. I don't play videogames nearly as much as I used to, but when I do I think I enjoy them more. Some people spend a shitload of money on video games or DVDs and I would tell them to send some of that money to me so that I can have some! Anyways Banjo-Tooie was definetly hella harder than it's predecessor, you have to work a lot more for the payoffs. Pretty classy, overall. I would give it a solid 8/10.
I'm glad the Oregon Ducks football team won their game this weekend, goooooo ducks!
Hmmmmmmm music music music...I am pretty disastisfied with the state of music as usual...I mean there's songs that are pretty bad but also not lame at all but most of the new hit songs nowadays are both bad and lame which is a deadly combo. Have you heard the semi-new Destiny's Child song? Where they are like "Dooby doo wa, make me lose my breath" and it's really wack when you first hear it, but then it kind of becomes more acceptable as you hear it like 5 times but it's still not good. And by this point I am getting preeeetty sick of Juvenile's Slow Motion and also the Lean Back song which are both thankfully falling out of the usual radio rotations. While commercial music sucks, "obscure" music is jsut as horrible especially underground rap which is worse than real rap. Every underground rapper is out to prove how smart they are and it usually just makes for meaningless lyrics about shit. I've talked about this phenomenon before but there seems to be a bunch of wacky rap artists that would be considered "underground" by the people who like them but are also the exact same rappers that every other "underground hip-hop" fan listens to. Like whatever Anticon, Eyedea, Slug, Sage Francis, Aesop Rock, Kanye West and also I would include jerks like Jurassic 5, Blackalicious and Del. All those jerks get hella attention but really they are all pretty unoriginal in what they are trying to achieve which is mostly just to make sometimes-grittier, intellectual-type rap which I dunno it's all pretty way gay. Basically these guys are usually nowhere near as inspired as they would like to be and even when they have real talent their music almost always comes off as truly pretentious and contrived. So fuck you, rap jerks!
And as for rock, rock is dead, get it through your head. Seriosuly urrrrgh, rock music today is made by a bunch of people who know how to write rock music and when you know how to make music there's really only so many variations on how you can structure a song before it starts to sound too much like another song that's already been made. The other problem is jerk rock musicians are always trying to imitate and combine all their old influences and really not enough people are trying to push the limits of musical composition. I mean some people try, but it seems to be really hard to make a song that's both totally catchy and totally original. I feel bad for Green Day cause like I already said their single is incredibly annoying both because of its retarded, mega-super-duper-cliche lyrics and the fact that it sounds like a bunch of songs on Dookie all mashed up into one song that's really nothing worth listening to.
I mean really, this is kind of obvious but lots of people will listen to and enjoy anything that's on the radio. This usually leads to a bunch of half-assed songs that are some jerk's second single that they made because their first single came out of nowhere and the fates convened and decided to allowed the creation of a song that was good enough to gain some noteriety. A good example right now is Ciara's "Goodies" which is actually supposedly about abstinence or something, and now she has a new single out with Missy Elliot and of course it's just really blah. And of course in like 9 months she will come out with some barely listenable single which is just enough like "Goodies" to get airplay but just different enough so that nobody goes "Hey, that's 'Goodies'!" Well yah none of this is really fresh commentary but I'm just worried in general about how on the one hand you have a bunch of music that just hits you in the face with how downright shitty and souless it is and then you've got this other contingent of jerks who think they are the shit because their music is really unremarkable and it isn't on the radio. And even worse are the people who are like "Well the only good music is retro music so obviously the only way to save music is to make it into wack attack throwback crap bullshit." I especially hate when somebody tries to make like a 60's style rock song or like a 70's style funk/soul/r&b + hip-hop song when really it's just a pale imitation of the atmosphere of those old songs. And of course I mean there was a lot of shitty music from eras past too, and the odds of some weird throwback song actually recreating the total-package of catchiness and atmosphere that makes a truly classic song are really next to nothing. So why even try? Music needs to move foward, and while it's important to appreciate our musical heritage, I jsut wish everything I hear nowadays wasn't either an attempt to achieve some retro ideal or an attempt to rip off what's already proven to sell. So fuck you, music jerks!
Anyways that was all pretty long-winded and semi-sassy, but I think you know what I mean. So do your part and stop listenting to shitty music unless it's the kind that's really cool and fun to listen to. If that's the case then go ahead and listen to it.
It's my highly personal opinion that black isn't a color; it's an attitude. I've always wished I were black, but I realized that if I just truly believe that I am black and start getting a really heavy tan and maybe also start putting on dark makeup then eventually I will become negro! Seriously, who says you have to be from Africa (originally) to be African-American!?? I mean, really, if you really think about it we are all from Africa originally and also on a biological level race doesn't exist so why do black people always fly into a black rage when I say "What's up, nigga?" and raise my hand for a high five? It's like jeez, take a chill pill, Chris Tucker.
Okay well once again here we go this is Randy B. signing off, later suckerz.
